Yesterday in our installment of Let's Talk Opera, we learned that the San Francisco Opera is doing live opera simulcasts on the Jumbo-tron at the baseball stadium there in San Francisco. Today, I learn that they are not the only company that is doing that! There is going to be a FREE opera simulcast of Barber of Seville at the Washington Nationals Park in Washington, DC. This is the opening night performance for the Washington National Opera. Free Opera...I guess you have to believe it when they say the best things in life are free. In today's Let's Talk Opera, we talk about Washington Opera, St. Petersburg Opera, the Dicapo Opera theater, and I learn a new word....accelerando! If you missed the first edition, go see it here!
